Heroes are as numerous in Ancient Greek Mythology as tales of the benevolent gods or the mighty titans. Be it Achilles, or of Heracles (arguably the most famous and dramatized hero), Ancient Greek Mythology is full of heroes. - Achilles - Perhaps the second most popular hero, Achilles was invincible in battle. His one weakness, known as the Achilles tendon, was as much a myth as the hero himself.
- Hector - Perhaps the greatest fighter of the Trojan war, Hector is one of the most courageous warriors in Greek Mythology.
- Heracles - The greatest of the great Greek heroes, Heracles is the literal embodiment of strength.
- Odysseus - Known in Ancient Greek as a tireless champion and a savage warrior, Odysseus is best known for convincing Achilles to return to battle during the Trojan War.
- Perseus - Sone of Zeus and Danae, Perseus’ name is synominous with tales of epic victories against mythical monsters.
- Theseus - King of Athens and founder of many of the original Ancient Greek myths, Theseus is believed to be responsible for many traditions associated with Athens.
